Dr. Ray is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina. He was educated in the Cumberland County School System and graduated from E.E. Smith High School. He earned a B.S. in biology from North Carolina Central University. He received his M.D. degree from Meharry Medical College and from there completed his residency training at the Duke/Southern Regional Area Health Education Center.

Dr. Ray is board certified in Family Medicine and has been practicing in Fayetteville since 2002. He is a strong believer in prevention and in working together with patients to take care of all of their healthcare needs. He is the father of two children.
